The 17th World Conference on Lung Cancer of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) will take place from December 4 - 7, 2016, in Vienna, Austria. Please join us on Sunday, Dec. 4th, 2016, 08:00 - 12:00, for the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC) & BMS Foundation Collaborative Workshop, "How to Develop a Comprehensive System of Care for Lung Cancer Patients", and on Monday Dec. 5th, during the 11–12:30 pm 'Prevention' concurrent session where Dr. Stella Bialous will present 'A Global View of Smoking Cessation' and Ms. Iveta Nohavova will present 'The Role of Oncology Nurses & Smoking Cessation'
Western Institute of Nursing's 50th Annual Communicating Nursing Research Conference

The Western Institute of Nursing's 50th Annual Communicating Nursing Research Conference will be held on April 19–22, 2017 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO. Dean Linda Sarna will present her keynote address: “Nursing Research: The Best is Yet to Come”, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 09:30-10:30am. Also on Friday, April 21st, from 13:45 - 15:00 pm, the TFN team will present a symposium, The Eastern Europe Nurses’ Center of Excellence for Tobacco Control ,moderated by:Dr. Stella A. Bialous.

July 11th for either Instructional session 5 where Dean Sarna and Dr Bialous will present "Smoking cessation in oncology settings: from research to practice", and Dr. Wells will present "Global collaborations with nurses in cancer research: Using web-based technology", during the Professional Issues 1 session!

The American Academy of Nursing announced the designation of Dean Linda Sarna and Dr. Stella Auguinaga Bialous as Academy Edge Runners for the 'Tobacco Free Nurses' projects on World Tobacco Day 2017. They will receive the award during a ceremony on Friday, October 6th at 9:45AM during the American Academy of Nursing's 2017 Transforming Health, Driving Policy Conference. the conference will be held from Thursday, October 5 - Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Marriott Marquis, Washington, D.C.
