Linda Sarna, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor and Lulu Wolf Hassenplug Endowed Chair, UCLA School of Nursing presented a Webinar titled: 'You Can Make a Difference: The Nurses’ Role in Helping Smokers Quit' on the Cordoba Campus, Breckinridge School of Nursing and Health Sciences. The Webinar was broadcast to 45 Associate Degree Schools of Nursing across the U.S.. Many of the student nurses who were smokers in the audience expressed thier thankfulness for the presentation.

Linda Sarna, Researcher at UCLA School of Nursing and Principal Investigator for the Tobacco Free Nurses Initiative, United States is a panelist.

STTI 25th International Nursing Research Congress

Dr. Linda Sarna will be inducted into the STT International Research Hall of Fame at this meeting and will be speaking about "Nurses and Tobacco Control: An Intersection of Research and Health Care Policy” on Friday, 25 July from 3:30–4:45 p.m. The 2014 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame will be presented at STTI’s 25th International Nursing Research Congress in Hong Kong, 24-28 July 2014.
